About Us

Born from a lifelong friendship and a shared love for great pizza, Jay’s Pizza is the creation of Jason and Sal, two seasoned restaurateurs who grew up immersed in the art of hospitality. After decades in the restaurant industry, they came together to bring something special to Tribeca, New York—a neighborhood that celebrates tradition with a modern twist.

Growing up in New York in the ’80s, Jay and Sal had the pleasure of eating from the city’s finest pizza makers. Grabbing a slice at Di Fara’s in Midwood where Jason’s mother grew up was always a special treat. At the time, it was just a local slice shop. He didn’t know he was eating what would become the best pizza in NY and that it would become the inspiration for his love of pizza making. Luigi’s, Joe and Pats, and Denino’s were all Jay and Sal’s favorites growing up. So, they set out to recreate the feeling of grabbing an authentic New York slice—the kind that’s simple, honest, and unforgettable.

Jay’s Pizza sources its flour directly from the farm in the Pacific Northwest, using only unbleached unbromated flour, organic tomatoes, the highest quality cheeses, and Sicilian olive oil to bring that old-school flavor back to life, elevating the classic slice for today’s New York.
